James H. Wood, division passenger agent for the Southern Railway, Is now In Florida doing valuable publicity work for this city, and at the same time making arrangements to help handle the northern tourist traffic this spring. The Ashevllle Country club is putting on two events of Interest to golfers this spring and the annual spring tournament will be held there April 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Invitations to all golfers and country clubs havo been extended by the Ashevtlleians to this event and handsome trophies have been provided. The best scores are to qualify in six flights of sixteen and entries for these events should be made to the secretary of the club not later than Tuesday, April 10. The course will be open (without green fees) to all tournament guests during the week beginning Sunday, April 8. Of special Interest to professionals Is the $500 cash prizes offered for the annual professional tournament March 2324. The cash prizes run from $200 to $25 for the first best scores.
