of Greensboro. Mrs. Gentry MURPHY Mrs. Bertha Lee Gentry, 66, of Andrews, died early Sunday morning in a Murphy hospital after a long illness. Townson Funeral Home, Murphy, will announce arrangements.

Will Gibson LAKE JUNALUSKA Will Gibson, 78, of Lake Junaluska, died Saturday night in a Buncombe County hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Jonesville, S. a member of Lake Junaluska Baptist Church and Leland Lewis SPRUCE PINE Leland Lewis, tf, of Greeneville, and a former Mitchell County resident, died early Sunday in Greeneville after an apparent heart attack. He was a self-employed con struction worker. Surviving are the widow, Mrs.

Mary Barnett Lewis; five daughters'. Mrs. Floyd Yclton of Jonesboro, Mrs. Madge Hoilman of Spruce Pine Mrs. Oscar Bumette of Johnson Citv, Mrs.

Mary Lee Jersey of Asheville and Mrs. Homer Gouge of Relief; four brothers, M. V. Lewis of Relief, Vernon Lewis of Unicoi, Ford Lewis of Erwin, and Carl Lewis of Landenburg, Pa. Services will be held at 2 p.m.

Tuesday in Pidgeon Roost Free- Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Burnie Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

Monday at Webb Funeral Home, Spruce Pine, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to services. George B. Conley ANDREWS Services for George Blair Conley, 54, who diedi Friday, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Ivie Funeral Chapel, Andrews. The Rev.

Weldon West will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Town Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wilton Newman, Bill Davis, Paul Anderson, Jess- Mashburn, Roy Wilson and Leonard Dailey. He was a native of Andrews, but had resided for the past 20 years in Atlanta. Mr.

Conley was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Andrews Lutheran Church. Surviving are a brother, John E. Conley of Murphy; and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Morrow of Sylva. The body will remain at the funeral home.

Malcolm Clarke, of Maggie Valley and two granddaughters, Mrs. Callie Holland of Maggie Valley and Mrs. Vivian Coulby of Asheville; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at p.m. Tuesday in Hazelwood First Baptist Church, of which he was a member.

The Rev. Frank Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C. E.

Mrs. Minnie Bailey BURNSVILLE Mrs. Minnie Bailey, 98, of Rt. 2 Green Mountain, died Saturday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Calvin Robinson, after a long illness.

Surviving are, in addition to Mrs. Robinson, three other daughters, Mrs. Ethel Edwards of Lady Lake, Mrs. Bertha McNeil of Yakima, and Mrs. Earl Willis of Rt.

2 Burnsville; two sons, John Horace Bailey of Hickory and Hobart Bailey of Concord, a brother, Able Edwards of Dearborn, 3 0 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren. Ellsworth Trantham Ellsworth L. Trantham 73, of 4 Salola Asheville, died unexpectedly Saturday night after being stricken while (iriving near the West Asheville Post Office.

Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Transyl vania County and had resided most of his life in Asheville. Mr. Trantham was a painting contractor and a member of Foster Memorial Seventh Day Adven-tist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs.

Mary R. Trantham; a son, E. Louis Trantham Jr. of Asheville; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Bumette of Canton, Mrs.

Kenneth Michael and Mrs. Wilma Bales of Miami, Fla. five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Groce Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. William G. Ambler will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Sams, W.

of Rt. 1 Horseshoe, died Saturday morning in Abbeville, S. as a result of gunshot wounds received in a hunting accident. He was a native Transylvania County but had resided most of his life in Henderson County. Mr.

Day was, employed by his father as a carpenter. He was a member of Etowah Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Doris Haydock Day; a daughter, April Annetce and a son, Robert Dean Day, both of the home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Calvin R. Day of Etowah; four brothers, Bill, Larry and Mickey Day of Etowah and Bud Dav of Hendersonvillc. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Thos. Shepherd Memorial Chanel.

Fate McHone HAZELWOOD Fate McHone, 89, of 408 Mississippi Hazelwood, died early Sunday morning in a Haywood County hospital after an extended illness.

He was a native of Madison County, a retired lumberman and night watchman and had served as' a deputy for the Haywood County Sheriffs Department for 51 years.
