1 Martha Silvers. 75, of Henreitta, died early Thursday in a Rutherford County hospital after a brief ilIness. Services will be held at 3:30 p. m. Friday in Henrietta First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mary Kirkland BRYSON CITY Mrs. Mary Slatton Kirkland, 78. died Thursday morning in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 2:30 p.

m. Saturday in Holly Springs Baptist Church, of which she was a member for 50 years. Miss Lizzie Snyder SPRUCE PINE Miss Lizzie Snyder, 85, of Rt. 2, died at her home Thursday afternoon following an extended illness. Webb Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Miss Minnie Parker ALEXANDER Miss Minn'e M. Parker, 89. of Alexander Rt. 1. died at 7 a.m Thursday in all Asheville nursing home after lingering illness.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of West Funeral Home. Weaverville. Mrs. Louise Daniel ENKA Mrs.

Louise G. Daniel, 57, of 60 Daniel died early Thursday in an Ashevill: hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Daniel, a native of Rutherford County, had lived in Asheville for 38 years. She was a former employe of Boll Marche and a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving are the husband, Denvis T. Daniel; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Smith of Asheville; a sister, Mrs. Eva Head of New York City; and a brother, Melvin B. Griffin of El Cajon, Calif.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Oak Hili Methodist Church. The Rev. Ronald. Koonts will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be R. W. Taylor, Robert Miller, Roscoe Jackson, Terry Michael, Bill Pettit and Melvin Eitel. The body will remain at Grove Funeral Home until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.

Marion L. Hodges BOONE Marion Larkin Hodges, 56, of Boone Star Route, died Thursday in a Watauga County hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Services will be held at 2 p. m.

Saturday in Mount Ephraim Baptist Church. James V. Hughey CASHIERS James Vernon Hughey, 41, of the Heady Mountain Community near Cashiers, was fatally injured early Thursday near the Walhalla, S. C. Fish Hatchery, when his pickup truck ran down a 35-foot bank eight miles north of Walhalla.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday in Cashiers Baptist Church. Mrs. Helen Dermid HENDERSONVILLE Services for Mrs.

Helen Dotson Dermid, 73, of 500 Woodbyne who died Tuesday In a Henderson County hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Thos. Shepherd Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Buddy Mullinax will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Quay, Waites and Roland Whitaker, Wilburn and Sherman Dotson and Gary Tweed. Mrs. Dermid was the widow of Paul L. Dermid.

Surviving are two sons, Morris of Hendersonville and Paul Dermid Jr. of New Orleans brother, John Dotson of Fletcher: four sisters, Mrs. Edgar Lindsey, Mrs. Jasper Whitaker and Mrs. Fletcher Brown, all of Biltmore and Mrs.

W. E. Whitaker of Fletcher; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Burris, Lewis Stevens, Bill Wilson. David Travis, Jerry Cochran and Dufay Tate Jr. Sheppard was a native of Yancey County and had resided in Buncombe County for 9 years. He was a 1964 graduate of T. C.

Roberson High School and took part in the school activities and sports. He was a member of Skyland Baptist Church, where he was very active in the church work, having spoken for the youth group on Youth Day for two vears. He had been in the U. S. Army Aviation for 18 months.

The body will remain at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p. m. Friday. Sluder To Head Optimist Club A. R.
