Teresa Ballard Roland 41 Age Caldwell, 88, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012.

Mr. Caldwell was born January 27, 1924 in Madison County, NC. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. Billy was a well decorated World War II Veteran who fought in two Dorothy Jane Crosby Age 78 Dorothy Jane Crosby, 78, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born in Madison County on May 10, 1933.

Dorothy was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and retired from Brock-way Glass Co. She was preceded in death by her father, Edd Silver; mother, Edna Edmonds; and two sisters, Lillian Barnett and Nadine Murray. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Ward; four daughters, Linda Jean Boothe, Susan Elaine Lynchard and husband, Danny, Laura Lea Shultz, and Nancy Ann Winkler and husband, Wayne; three sons, Roger Scott Crosby and wife, Darlene, Bobby Arthur Crosby, Brian Paul Crosby and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Killian Shultz, Brooke Uptmor and husband, Kyle, Addison Winkler, Scott Crosby and wife, Jenny, Angela Lee and husband, Brad; and numerous great grandchildren, family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. Services were held Monday, March 19, at Cornerstone funeral home in Muskogee, OK.

Teresa Ballard Roland, age 41, of 49 Flat Creek Church died Friday, March 23, 2012. Teresa was born February 10, 1971, in Buncombe County. She was a registered nurse. Teresa was the daughter of Bill Euris Ballard and the late Ruth Hurst Ballard. Clara B.

Knight Age 83 Clara B. Knight, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Mars Hill, on March 20, 2012. Clara was born on November 1, 1928, to the late Thomas Steele and the late Clara Roberson Steele of Vero each, Florida. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Alice Lunsford and Bessie Harris. Clara spent many years as Church Secretary, as SecretaryTreasurer for Edward Knight, Inc.

and retired in 2000 after serving as Secretary for the Personnel Office at Mars Hill College for over thirteen years. In retirement Clara continued to collect North Carolina handmade pottery, but spent most of her time keeping in touch with her family and spoiling the grand and great grandchildren. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Edward Knight of Mars Hill; Pamela and Tom Denmark, Paula and Mark Baker and Perry and Shannon Knight, all of Vero Beach, FL, Penelope (Penny) Knight of Mars Hill; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a sister, Tommie Holland, of Zuni, VA. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, West Asheville. Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Irene Messer Caldwell and his wife, Ella Moore Caldwell.

He is survived by his sisters; Juanita Waldroup of High Point, Betty Keppner of Wenatchee, WA, Georgia Nielsen of Leicester, and Viola Burriss of Middle-town, MD; 17 nieces and seven nephews; numerous great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 26, 2012 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Bray officiating. Pansy Lewis Dale Age 79 Pansy Lewis Dale, 79, of Morganton went to be with her Burlin Ricker Age 85 Burlin Bruce Ricker, 85, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Mr. Ricker was born January 4, 1927, in Madison Age 80 Lucy Faye Rice 80 native of Madison County passed day, March 24, KJ 2012.

Mrs. Guthrie was born June 16, 1925, in Madison Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Born in Madison County, NC on February 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Andy Lewis and Hattie Crow Lewis. Pansy was an active member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where 1 County. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1952.

Burlin operated Ricker BP in Hot Springs for more than 35 years. He and his wife, away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at John F. Keever Center in Asheville. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her parents Horace Dil-lard and Lela Jane Messer Rice, husbands; Robert Winston Buckner ViM oumy aim was a Ifcct resident of Bun- 1 combe County i for most of her life.

She was formerly employed she loved to sing. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ned Lenoir Dale of the home; a son, Garry Dale (Jane), of Morganton; a daughter, Phyllis King (Tim), of Morganton; grandchildren, Jamie Dale, Jeremy Dale, Lacey King, and Nathanael King; a brother, David Lewis (Jane); and sisters, Marie Willis (Edgar), Dorothy Thorpe (Kenneth), Helen Fish (Owen), and Thelma Ponder (Vernon). Pansy was a special "MawMaw" to Amy George, Glenda Jackson, Amber Peterson, and Audrey Chapman. In addition to her parents, Pansy was preceded in death by two brothers, R. J.

Lewis and Andy Lewis, Jr. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Dewey Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 4 p.m.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev.

She is survived by three daughters; Barbara Clayton (Ned) of Mars Hill, Sarah Donnell of Asheville, and Betty Baker of Alexander, sister; Ella Ogle of Asheville, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Blue Ridge Funeral Services on Monday, March 26, Rev. Bradley Collins and Lester Wilde officiated.

Burial followed at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
