Mrs. Campbell was born March 27, 1924 in Norwich, Norfolk England to the late Percy Williams Moore and the late Dorothy Smith Parker Moore.

She received her education in England and also served as a member of the Womens Land Army in England during World War II. On December 22, 1946, Mrs. Campbell arrived in New York City to make her home in the United States of America and on November 30, 1979, she proudly became a US citizen. She chose to make her home the mountains of Western North Carolina where she has touched many lives with her friendship, caring heart and kindness. She had served as a volunteer at the Haywood County Hospital and was a dedicated member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Canton for 58 years.

Doris was a wonderful cook, enjoyed reading and loved to knit Two memorable moments in her lifetime were meeting Prince Charles and the Arch Bishop of Canterbury, Dr. George Carey. Doris loved her family dearly and her precious memory will remain in their hearts forever. were active members of Etowah Baptist Church. Walter is survived by two sons, Reverend Terry Pen-land and his wife, Amy, of Canton, Earl Penland and his wife, Linda, of Black Mountain and a daughter, Kathey Penland of Aurora, sisters, Sue Kates and her husband, Reverend Alcy Kates, of Waynesville, Charlotte Johnson of Marietta, Ohio, Grace Miller and her husband, Bob, of Belmont, and Edith Luck of Indian Harbor, three brothers, Wallace Penland and his wife, Nancy, of Howard, Leonard Penland and his wife, Gayle, of Candler and Douglas Penland and his wife, Jane, of Candler; two grandchildren, Andrew and his wife, Katie, of College Station, Texas and and Hannah Trapp and her husband, Lee, of Alexandria, Va; and one great-grandchild, Sophia Trapp.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Etowah Baptist Church. Revs. Brian Henderson and Terry Penland will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Carolyn and Walter were natives of Buncombe County. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and Walter lived most of his life in Buncombe County. Carolyn was a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Wallin. She worked in housekeeping with Pardee Hospital and was a volunteer at Cradle of Forestry Pisgah Forest Carolyn is survived by sister, Deborah Ducote and her husband, Dan, of Etowah; brother, Stanley Wallin and his wife, Janice Davis, of Kernersville; and three nieces and three nephews.

Walter was a son of the late Cashius and Kathleen Epley Penland and was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Moore; three brothers, Maurice, Horace, and Lloyd Pen-land. Walter retired after many years of faithful service to Pardee Hospital and was an avid fisherman. He cherished his wife, Carolyn, who was also his best friend and fishing buddy. They loved their family, their church, and most of all they loved their Savior, Jesus Christ He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean War. The I cause was lung cancer. Bill was the son of the late William Tazewell and Evelyn Bailey Morris, and husband of the late Sara Martin Morris. He attended Grace Elementary School and graduated from The Asheville School in 1950. He attended Davidson College and the University of North Carolina, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War.

Bill retired in 1997 after 24 years as a salesman for Southern Pump and Tank Company of Charlotte. Bill was active in the Asheville Rotary dub, the Asheville Jaycees, and the Rhododendron Brigade of Guards and was a longtime member of the Asheville Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Pulley Morris of Leland, N.C., two sons, William Tazewell Morris in and wife Penny Morris of Durham, NC and Joseph Maryon Morris and wife Eve Gartner of Brooklyn, NY, five grandchildren, a brother, Augustus Morris, Sr. of Asheville, and a nephew and niece. Bill and his family were grateful for the comfort and care he received during his illness from a PEARL DOCKERY JENKINS ASHEVILLE Pearl Dockery Jenkins, 94, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the John F.

Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Madison County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Richard Enoch and Dorothy Jane Reed Dockery. She was formerly employed with Gerber and C.P. Claire and was a charter member of Sweeten Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jenkins was the wife of Paul James Jenkins who died May 6, 2000. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are her son, Henry A Jenkins and wife Joyce of Fletcher; daughters, Nancy Woods and husband Bill of Fletcher, Janis M. Seiler and husband Larry of Inman, SC, Barbara P.

Surrett of Nebo, Mary L. Austin and Linda Kay Jenkins both of Asheville and Sharon J. The online register is available at BARBARA BOURNE HENSLEY ASHEVILLE Barbara Bourne Hensley, 85, of Asheville, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Elizabeth House. A native of Asheville, Mrs. Hensley was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara Richardson Bourne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hensley. Mrs.

Hensley had been a longtime member of West Asheville Baptist Church, and was most recently a member of First Baptist Church. Following Mr. Hensley's passing in 1980, Mrs. Hensley began working in the Child Development Center of First Baptist Church, even as recently as 10 days ago. Aside from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, working with the children at First Baptist was one of her greatest pleasures.

She is survived by her son, David Hensley and wife Carol, of Asheville; daughter, Rebecca Pegg and husband Steve, of Newton; grandchildren, Stephanie Franklin and husband Christian, Jenny Williams and husband REV. ROGER KIAH EDWARDS ASHEVILLE Rev. Roger Kiah Edwards, 64, of Edwards Asheville, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012. A native of Madison he was a son of the late Kiah and Frankie English Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Caroll Alexander Sales, and by a grandson, Triston Kiah Edwards.

Mr. Edwards lived most of his life in Buncombe Co. He was a graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School, and retired from Square after 30 years. He was a pastor and Sunday school teacher at various churches.

He was a loving person who had a helpful spirit Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Sales Edwards; daughter, Jessica Grindstaff; sons, Jeff Edwards, Joey Camby and wife, Yane, Jeremy Edwards, and Shane Camby and wife, Terri; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; HELENS. PRICE HOT SPRINGS Helen B. Price, 90, of Spring Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her home. Mrs.

Price was born December 22, 1921 in Madison County where she lived all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Bertha Stamey Balding; her first husband, Charles H. Allen; her second husband, Hardy Price; step son, Arthur Price and step-grandson, Justice Price. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Allen Reeves and her husband, Clifford, of Leicester; son, Ray Allen, of Asheville; stepson, Randy Price and his wife Pam, of Spring ROY BANKS ASHEVILLE Roy Lewis Banks, 76, passed awayjune 26, 2012 at the John F. Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a U.S. Marine during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Mr.

Banks was the son of the late Violet Pegram Banks. Surviving are his children, Sabrina Banks, Regina Lauffer, Dennis Banks, Roy Banks, Joseph Banks and Lori Inman; sister, Bemice Hart; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
